Will this work for our family?

Heathland and woodland on a sandstone ridge in the middle of the Wirral, with a historic windmill, a lighthouse and an observatory, and views across to the Liverpool waterfront and Wales. There are self guided trails, a picnic area and a rhododendron collection in Park Wood.

Parent tip

Park at Tam O'Shanter Urban Farm, which has toilets, a café and a play area, and walk up to the windmill from there. Paths are rough, so a carrier beats a buggy for little ones.
