About FamDays
A family days out guide for Merseyside, built so you can trust what it says before you load the car.
Who runs it
FamDays is run by me, Peter Lynch, a parent in Liverpool. I have spent 25 years working in content, media and digital campaigns, and I built FamDays because planning a day out that works for a toddler and a ten year old, on a budget, when it might rain, took far too many tabs and too much guesswork.
Every guide on the site is written by a local parent, from the places we have checked, and updated when the details change.
How we check listings
Opening times, prices, ages and booking rules come from each venue's own website or the organiser's own listing, never from reviews or old blog posts. Every card and venue page says where its details came from and when they were last confirmed:
- From the organiser's own listing. Taken directly from the venue or organiser's official feed or page.
- Listed via a ticketing site. Taken from the official ticket seller, such as Eventbrite or Skiddle.
- Confirmed by the venue. The venue told us the details directly.
- Checked by FamDays. We read the venue's own website and checked the details on the date shown.
- Not confirmed. We could not confirm it, or the check is more than 90 days old. Check with the venue before you go.
If we do not know something, such as buggy access or parking, the page says it is not listed rather than guessing.
How FamDays is paid for
FamDays is free to use and always will be. Venues and organisers can pay to list or feature an attraction. Paid listings are clearly marked as sponsored, are checked to the same standard as everything else, and can be declined. Paying never changes the facts on a page, and a sponsor never sees or edits what we write about them.
If we ever use links that earn us a small commission when you book, we will say so next to the link. We do not sell your details to anyone; the privacy note explains exactly what we keep.
List your venue, class or event
Run something families can go to in Merseyside? A soft play, farm, class, show, club night for kids or a one-off event? Tell us about it here. Listing is free. We check every detail against your own website before anything goes live, usually within a few days, and we will email you if we have a question.
Contact us
Questions, ideas, a correction, or a place we have got wrong: send us a message and a real person will read it. Venue pages also have a "Spotted something wrong?" box for quick corrections.
You can also find FamDays on Facebook and Instagram, and get six family days out in your inbox every Friday from the home page.
FamDays is independent. It is not run by, or endorsed by, any council or venue. Last updated 31 October 2026.
