Questions parents ask
Is Strawberry Field free?
Yes. The venue states that general entry is free. A child going free with a paying adult would not count; this is free for everyone.
Does Strawberry Field have parking?
Free on site parking for visitors, including accessible parking within 50 metres of the main entrance. On street parking is also available on Menlove Avenue.
Is Strawberry Field buggy friendly?
The venue does not say, so take a sling or carrier if your child is small enough.
Do you need to book Strawberry Field?
No need to book. Advance booking is recommended to guarantee entry to the exhibition; tickets may also be available on the day from the welcome desk in the shop. Buses 75, 76, 78 and 86C stop nearby; Liverpool South Parkway and West Allerton stations are a 30 to 45 minute walk or a short taxi ride.
What are the opening times at Strawberry Field?
Open daily 10am to 5pm. Hours may change for special events or group bookings. Hours change with the seasons, so check before a long drive.
Before you set off
- Book the big ones, turn up to the small onesThe safari park, the big soft plays and anything with a timed entry sell out in school holidays. Parks, beaches, most museums and the libraries never do. Every card says whether you need to book.
- Go early or go lateMost paid attractions are quietest in the first hour and the last two. Free museums in the city centre are busiest between 11 and 2 on a wet Saturday.
- Train beats car for the coast and the centreMerseyrail stops next to the beach at Crosby, Freshfield and Southport, and under the museums at Liverpool Central. Under 5s travel free and a Saveaway covers the day after 9.30 on weekdays and all day at weekends.
- How we checkEvery listing is rechecked against the venue's own website every week, and each card shows the date it was last confirmed. If something has changed since, the Tell us link on every page reaches a person who fixes it.
