A large council run park in St Helens with grassland, wildflower meadows, a lake, ponds, streams and open woodland. Facilities listed by the council include a play area, a new skate park, outdoor gym equipment, picnic benches, a cycle path and car parking. Some grassed areas are now left uncut to help wildlife, with mown paths kept for walkers.

Parent tip. The council says the wide paths suit children learning to ride a bike or scooter.
